SATURDAY.
START Early Saturday morning we arrived at St Michaels Church car park waiting for the adventure of a 15-mile walk through the Chilterns. Arriving at our starting point we said our farewells to Mark and Angela. Our first problem was that we had to find out where we were on the map. After we had done that we set off wondering what was ahead of us. After about ten minutes F fell over in the mud. Our second stop was at some horses where we stroked them except for E who is scared of them.
Then we saw some swans and named them Doris and Boris because they were in love. When we left them to it we walked out of the road and found two frogs having fun in the middle of the road. We named them.
After we stopped for lunch we carried on walking and saw a cat, Smokey, it was scarey because it had yellow eyes. We petted the cat for a bit and then carried on walking. We walked about another 500 yards and stopped for yet another rest! After an hour or so we were walking down the canal and saw a dead fish the size of an elephant (maybe not that big?) This is Smokey the cat! Everyone loved Smokey appart from E and C because they were scared of her because she had evil yellow eyes but M and I like Smokey because she was smooth to touch and friendly. SMOKY
MAPS

We carried on walking and got to an abandoned milk and cheese factory were we had yet another rest to try and figure out where we were.

We couldn't find out where we were so we rang Angela and Mark who said if they came to us then they will have to fail us, so as you do, we carried on. Our little trek got us to an airfield.

Whilst walking through the airfield we walked through wind and rain. We weren't too happy by then and that's when we bumped into the boys on dirt bikes for the first time.
MAX This is Max the dog, we know this because the owner said "Max get away from them werdos" That hurt but we let it go. We liked Max because he jumped at us and he was very friendly but his owner was not. We were talking to ourselves and they butted in so we said a few words to them and then they got their mates to help them by chasing after us on their bikes. Finally we spotted Angela and Mark who were walking towards us.
After we spoke to them we set off walking again though in the forest. F was so busting for a wee that she said to us that she was going to go in a bush, M and E didn't believe her so when she got back they went to check. Turns out she did.
Then we stopped again, by this massive hill, which C had to go up and run down. She got to the top where she screamed out “I can't get down its too high” but she did anyway. That's where we stopped for half an hour to play on the hill. We set off again and finally got to the highest point of the Chilterns. We got to the end of the forest where we saw Angela and Mark yet again, we skipped for a little while but then we got tired because we had massive bags on our backs. We were walking down the longest road ever where we saw a dead deer in the road. The hill.... it all started when we were walking through the scary forest oooo... So we felt like having a rest again so I decided to run up the hill and F joined me and them E and M. It was funny and we spent like an hour there but it got dark so we went!WEE HILL

Then we walked into the fields when it started getting dark, we walked up and down fields and we thought we were lost so we rang Mark again. He found us but he said we wouldn't fail if we could show him where we were on the map. We eventually got to the campsite where everyone greeted us with a cheer. (We were only four hours late!) The night was cold and wet but we had so much fun.

SUNDAY
MARSTON This is a photo we took near the end of the first day in our lovely hiking gear and see who is resting (again) in the background under the sign. We woke up nice and early Sunday morning, 8am to be exact. After we had breakfast we set off to do the last six miles of our hike. This day was pretty boring because nothing really happened. We got lost but found our way quite good.

E and M had a few words because M was reading the map and saying lets take this shortcut and E thought it was best just to go the normal way. After walking for ages E was reallyy stressed and then to tip it off she fell over in the road and her bag went strait over her head. We arrived at our destination earlier then we expected. Angela and Mark brought us a drink.

This is the pretty Rainbow we saw near the highest point in the Chilterns.

RAINBOW
AT THE END This whole experience has been wonderfult. We had all our ups and downs but it was mainly fun.
